Appointment Instructions
Review appointment instructions for Kiddo Psychiatry. Learn what to expect, how to prepare, and steps for in person and virtual visits.
1. Complete Required Items Before Your Appointment
All patients must complete the following within three days of appointment confirmation.
- Answer all questionnaires and rating scales
- Upload a photo ID
- Upload proof of insurance (if using insurance)
- Enter a valid credit card
Failure to complete this may result in rescheduling of your appointment.

2. Timing Expectations (All Appointment Types)
- Arrive or log in 10 minutes early
- If you arrive late, the visit still ends at the scheduled time
- Sessions cannot be extended for late arrival and will likely be rescheduled
3. In-Person Appointment Instructions
If you are coming into the office:
- Bring your photo ID
- Bring proof of insurance if using insurance
- Ensure you have a credit card on file for payment (required for all patients)
- When you arrive, sit in the reception area. Doctor will meet you at your appointment time
- Children must be accompanied by adults at all times.
4. Virtual Appointment Instructions
General Requirements
- Log in 10 minutes early
- Test your camera, microphone, and audio beforehand
- You must not be driving during the appointment
- Stay in a private, quiet location for the entire session
How to Join Your Telehealth Appointment
You can join your Telehealth session using any of the following:
- Log in to the patient portal
- Click the CHECK-IN link next to your appointment in the patient portal
5. Instructions for Adult Appointments
Adults must follow all general instructions listed below:
- Be prepared to discuss symptoms clearly
- Ensure you are in a private location without interruptions
- Keep your device stationary for the duration of the visit
6. Instructions for Child Appointments
- Parent and child must remain available on camera as needed
- The child should be in a quiet, structured environment with minimal distractions
7. Payment Policy
1on1session requires a credit card on file for all patients.
Private Pay Patients
- Charged on the day of the appointment
Insurance Patients
- Copay or coinsurance is charged on the day of the appointment
- Any remaining balance is charged after insurance processes the claim
Missed Appointments & Cancellations
- Fees are charged to the card on file
- Follow the practice’s cancellation policy
8. Communication and Follow-Up
- Use the patient portal for secure messaging
- No clinical advice is provided by phone
- Prescription refill requests require 7 business days’ notice and must be requested via patient portal message. we do not respond to pharmacy requests
- Visit summaries, receipts, and billing history are available in the patient portal
- We do not provide emergency or crisis services
